“Hiren’s Boot CD 16.2” vs. “Hiren’s Boot CD 15.2”

I was looking for the latest HBCD and then I found this one: "Hiren's Boot CD 16.2" which seems to be the latest, however on their own website, they only have vs. "Hiren's Boot CD 15.2" not 16.2 which made me suspicious.

This is the original website. I have had this same Hirens Boot CD/DVD v15.2 for over 5 years and the following link was acquired directly off of this DVD. These types of tools are always "Use at Your Own Risk".

To answer your question; I would stick to the original website provided above as the best source, and not trust any other ports or revisions from anywhere else.

Download Hirens.BootCD.15.2.zip and unpack it to a folder (for example, D:\Hirens.BootCD.15.2).
Run D:\Hirens.BootCD.15.2\HBCDCustomizer.exe, follow steps A-D as shown on the picture and wait until extraction is done.
Download Ghost 11.5.1.2269 or Ghost 12.0.0.4112 and copy it to D:\MyBootCD\CD\HBCD\Programs\Files.
Follow steps E-F as shown on the picture and wait until image creation is finished.
Run D:\Hirens.BootCD.15.2\BurnToCD.cmd and burn a newly created image.
D:\MyBootCD\MyHBCD.iso to a blank CD.

Hiren’s Boot CD with UEFI support

Short answer: No; you cannot make Hiren's Boot CD EFI compatible.

Even when Hiren's uses Syslinux and it is true Syslinux 6.03 now supports UEFI (syslinux.efi) you will face at least 2 problems when upgrading your Hiren's CD to Syslinux 6.03:

syslinux.efi is not an UEFI signed application then forget about the SecureBoot scenario.
Syslinux.efi (as the rest of EFI boot managers) can only boot kernels that were built with certain EFI parameters turned "ON" i.e.

CONFIG_EFI_PARTITION=y
CONFIG_EFI_VARS=y 
CONFIG_FB_EFI=y
```

Hiren's kernel is not built with those flags "ON" and you (surely) do not have the exact sources/config for re-building the kernel while adding the above mentioned missing EFI related parameters.
