Since I upgraded to Windows 10 I'm no longer a "real" administrator on my personal computer and I can't download anything from Windows Update.
When I try to install .NET 3.5 I get
Error 0x800F081F
I already tried to change the source directly in the command panel (as admin) but it gave me a error message that the source was not found with the same error code.
no i am with the origional poster, even just switching it on doesnt help, try and update the .net framework with it on or off gives no difference, try to install the software after switching it on achieves nothing to, this is a major flaw in the system,
Yes, there is an easy way, but you must have installation media for Windows 8 (could be a DVD or even a mounted .ISO with a Windows 8 installation) and make sure the media is for the correct version of Windows (x32 or x64). Otherwise, the command line will fail (not harmful, just annoying):
