Copy and Paste from Virtual PC has stopped working

Up until the last week I was able to copy and paste text from my virtual PC (VPC) to my host machine, however I tried it today with no success…it doesn't error it will just paste whatever is in the host machines buffer/clipboard rather than what I have selected and copied from the VPC.

it has definitely copied to the clipboard on the virtual pc as you can paste into notepad on the VPC

has anyone else encountered this?

Copy/Paste support is provided by the Virtual Machine Additions. Maybe you could try re-installing these?

Virtual Server does allow LPT mappings. While it isn't supported on client versions of Windows I understand it does work (which would be OK for development/test/occasional usage).

Found a setting in the .vmc where I changed from false to true:

I don't get the built in microphone to work (why??), but the microphone in my MS web-cam works.

The above solution should be tried both with Integration Features enabled/disabled. Some people had luck with completely uninstalling and reinstalling them and rebooting,

The only way of really getting around the virtual hardware in the VM that I am aware of, is the use of USB devices which should transparently work as designed within the VM.

If you are thinking about giving up on Virtual PC, then I suggest VirtualBox, which is both free and excellent quality.
