Convert PDF (that was generated with LaTeX) to .tex file

I know the general problem of converting an arbitrary PDF to .tex is either impossible or would result in unusable LaTeX (by expressing everything as vector graphics, for instance).

But if my PDF was generated from a LaTeX file (which I no longer have), is there a way to "reverse-engineer" it back into the source file?

Sorry, but it wouldn't help (much) if the file was generated by LaTex.

Texworks comes installed with Miktex.
What an icon looks like is irrelevant as long as it is associated with the correct program.
As someone else pointed out, LaTeX is a TeX application.

This (as I read the question) has nothing to do with printers, and appears to belong on stackoverflow, where it started.

The color package has a monochrome option which turns all of the colour switching off:

\usepackage[monochrome]{color}
%\usepackage{color}
\begin{document}
Hello \textcolor[rgb]{1,0,0}{World}!
\end{document}

Is that what you were looking for? It turns everything black and white rather than greyscale.
