Windows 7 – Change Explorer ‘Edit’ Context Menu for Image Files

When I right click on a jpg file in Windows Explorer (Windows 7), I see that there is an "Edit" menu item. If I click this item, it opens the image in MSPaint. Blah. I have Paint.NET installed, and I'd like to change the "Edit" action to open the image in Paint.NET.

How can I go about doing this?

The "Ticino" item is added to the Windows Explorer context menu by early versions of Visual Studio Code Preview. It opens the selected file in Code for editing.

Previous versions of Code did not remove the item properly during uninstallation. According to the Code FAQ Microsoft fixed the issue as of version 0.3.0.

Create a Send-To-Excel shortcut

Open this folder : C:/Users/UserName/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Windows/SendTo

You might have to show hidden and system files to be able to view the folder AppData. Change UserName to whatever your username is.

Create a shortcut to Excel there. You can copy an existing Excel shortcut on desktop or taskbar.
