Sql-server – Difference between SSAS 2005 and SSAS 2008

It wont effect other cubes. DSO component will only be used when a user runs DSO 8.0 application and will have no impact on SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services database.

I do not have a 2005 server to test with. 2008 however, appears to handle this as expected:

SET [ID] = 8 WHERE [ID] = 17

You should see one record in each partition before the update, and both records in the first partition afterwards.
