I have a Macbook Pro 2017 model. Whenever I try to connect to VPN via Cisco AnyConnect Client, my wifi gets disconnected. I have to again restart my router and try with the Cisco client again. In 2-3 attempts I do get connected to the VPN. But till I get connected, I have to retry the steps and manually restart my router. How I can resolve this issue?

I don't know if this option was also available in Snow Leopard, but if you are on Lion you could try the following:
- Set up the native cisco client - if you don't know how, you can use this handy guide I created a few days back
- Once you have tried and confirmed that everything works, your VPN connection should show up as one of the options in the Internet Sharing part of Preferences Sharing.
- select the connection, choose on which network connection you'd like to share it and you're done.
The Cisco VPNClient app is not officially supported in 10.8. You may have some luck by using Java Preferences to specify the 32-bit JVM and either disabling the 64-bit or changing it to be secondary.
You're better off replicating the settings from your Cisco configuration into a new native VPN (IPSec) connection.
Look for the encrypted Group password in your .pcf file, then head over here to get the decrypted value. After that it should be fairly obvious.

I had several clients that this problem. Cisco AnyConnect can fail to connect if your router is misconfigured. The only way this was cured was by contacting the Internet Service Provider and having them reconfigure the router from their end to enable VPN connections to succeed.
