Hi, I installed windows using bootcamp, but i made the mistake to make the bootcamp only 20gb, so i want to expand it. I found a way to do so, but firstly i need to shrink my other partition – Macintosh HD, why am I unable to do so? Thanks

Yes, Disk Utility can’t edit space in the “middle” of the disk, only space on the “ends”.
There is an app called iPartition that sounds like it does what you need. From the website:
iPartition makes it easy to create, destroy, resize or format partitions on your hard disks, whether internal, external, fixed or removable.
Two caveats: first, I’ve never used iPartition myself, so I can’t comment on its reliability. I’ve used their other product (iDefrag), which was very stable and I’d recommend, but not iPartition. Also, according to archived blog post, iPartition doesn’t work with Lion FileVault partitions. Don’t know if that affects you.
iPartition
For all my partitioning, I use and recommend iPartition. It will allow you to resize partitions without deleting any data. It will automatically move partitions if necessary to allow resizing into free space that is located after the partition.
iPartition’s ability to automatically rearrange your existing partitions when necessary, makes iPartition the easiest partitioning tool that you’ll ever use.

Well, I have another solution; hope it would work fine. Backup Windows data (bootcamp) firstly. Use Bootcamp utility to delete the existing Windows partition. Once you delete it, recreate new Windows partition with Bootcamp a little larger as you desire. Then reinstall Windows.
