MacOS – Making all application windows stay fullscreen on relaunch

I usually have 4+ fullscreen windows open whenever I use Xcode 4. When I quit Xcode, and reopen it, only one or two of the windows open as fullscreen, and the rest all open in a single desktop as normal windows. (I think the behavior is the same with Chrome and probably other apps to.)

Is there anyway to fix this?

I haven't tried this yet, but did a quick search and there is a free add-on called Maximizer available.

It may not be build into Lion yet (as far as I know) but this will get you close for what you want :-)

Disabling the animation

This part of your question has been covered earlier. Unfortunately without success of finding a fitting answer.

Unfortunately (at least as of 10.7.1) there does not appear to be a way to change any settings related to this animation.

I filled a bug for this with Apple. The Radar number is 10073864. I would encourage you to also file the report at https://bugreport.apple.com/. Note in your description that it is a duplicate of the above bug report number to help the support staff categorize and prioritize this bug.

MacOS – Assigning Application Windows to Different Spaces/Desktops

You might make a copy of Safari's application bundle and change the bundle identifier:

cp -R /Applications/Safari.app /Applications/Safari2.app
defaults write /Applications/Safari2.app/Contents/Info.plist CFBundleIdentifier my.safari2
cp ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist ~/Library/Preferences/my.safari2.plist

Assignments to spaces are per bundle identifier:

$ defaults read ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.spaces.plist app-bindings
{
    "my.safari2" = "FC886111-EE78-4844-A5E5-A11BECA713CF";
}

In this case, you might also use Webkit.app or create a site-specific browser with Fluid.
