When I'm in Accounts and I select the dropdown of SMTP servers I get a long list of servers (as I manage a lot of accounts). But when I go to edit the SMTP server list, not all of the accounts in the dropdown are listed. Any ideas what's happening?

Update: I've now demonstrated this problem is broken navigation in mail.app. That's sufficiently different to close the above question and start a new thread, which I've done: 10.7 mail.app preferences-->accounts navigation broken; how to fix?
The automatic domain selection in Mail based on the address is not possible but....
There is a setting in Mail, send from the account of the selected mail box.
Means, if you create or reply to emails while in the Mailbox of the University it will use that account.
However, if you create reply from your other account it will use that one.
So all you have to do with your 2 accounts is to make sure to use the right account when creating or replying.
Additionally you can use the "Mark addresses not ending with ....@ugent.be
Show email addresses that don’t end in a specified domain in red, to help prevent you from sending messages to unintended recipients.

Finally found out what the issue is. Half the accounts on the Account dropdown under SMTP are from the Internet Accounts under System Settings > Accounts, not just your SMTP server settings list. Its really confusing.
