MacOS – Mac OSX High CPU % Usage – Draining battery and heating!

For the past year I've experienced high CPU usage on CORE process (activity monitor) and also extreme heating, with cooling fans at maximum, draining my battery every single day.

My home banking requires a security module to be installed, named WARSAW (DIEBOLD, Gas Tecnologia).

Use the Finder to go to /library/LaunchAgents/, on the root of the main driver and delete the file com.diebold.warsaw.user.plist.
Use the Finder to go to /users/USER/library/LaunchAgents/, on the user's folder and delete the file com.diebold.warsaw.user.plist.
Kill the running application with the Terminal command sudo launchctl unload -F /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.diebold.warsaw.plist.
Uninstall the loser module sudo /usr/local/bin/warsaw/uninstall.sh
Restart your mac.

As others already let clear, Apple doesn't offer any good solution for those issues. They shouldn't exist, Apple would say. But they do.

That said, your best bet is jailbreaking and getting SBSettings to "Free Memory" or some specific app that does it, such as MemTool. I've just installed it on mine through hackyouriphone repo, but you can also find it on http://ispaziorepo.com/cydia/apt/

MacOS – Process “ubd” high CPU usage

By observing log messages in ~/Library/Logs/Ubiquity/<my username>/, I realized that Ubiquity (iCloud process) kept trying to create a file in a folder that doesn't exist:

I opened up the Terminal and created this directory and its parent directories up to .ubd:

cd ~/Library/Mobile\ Documents/
sudo mkdir .ubd && cd .ubd
sudo mkdir peer-E2B13E4F-56F7-C79B-1621-E30738B638FE-v23 && cd peer-E2B13E4F-56F7-C79B-1621-E30738B638FE-v23
sudo mkdir ftr

Then I changed the newly created directories' owner from root to myself:

cd ../..
sudo chown -R <my username> .ubd/

The fan turned silent instantly.
