I use Coda as web editor, and I usually have to mix Italian and English nouns and phrases. I don't want spellcheck on (as I use programming-related words such as uid and pid), so I'd like to deactivate it.
At the same time, though, I'd like to have it enabled everywhere else on my computer.
It appears that Mac OS X doesn't have a way to enable spellcheck for some applications but disable it for others.
Is this possible?
control+F4. Cycles through the applications in that Space.
(I actually have this mapped to control+`; which I find easier to remember, being close to the cmd+`; to cycle through an application's windows.)
To change the keyboard shortcut, go to the Keyboard preferences, Keyboard Shortcuts, and Keyboard & Text Input. It's the 'Move focus to active or next window' option.
(Edit to fix the keyboard shortcuts; I didn't realise that the backtick character wasn't showing up.)
I guess you're rather referring to Autosave. This post describes the difference.

However for Autosave the easiest work-around might be to use "System Preferences" → "Keyboard" → "Keyboard Shortcus" to define a keyboard shortcut (I used ⌘ ⇧ S) for the programs that have Autosave support and the "Duplicate" option in the menu:
For Textedit it will then look like this:
So you would press ⌘+⇧+S, which gives you a new duplicate window and then ⌘+S to save as new filename.
However, you original document will also (continuously) be saved and end up in the state where you created the duplicate - and without Versions (or Time Machine) you won't be able to recover earlier states as soon as you close your original document or the program.

Just right click in the working tab, select Spelling and uncheck the option "Check Spelling While Typing"
