I've been a full-time Mac user for 5 or so years now, but sometimes the Apple way still confuses my Microsoft-conditioned mind. This is especially true of iWork. In the screenshot below, can someone tell me how to move the big, main text area up to that red line?
I've tried every setting I can find – I wouldn't be asking if I hadn't – and came up completely empty. FYI this is one of Apple's stock resume templates.

It appears that while a Layout Break has the option to start a new page or not start a new page,
a Section Break always starts a new page. Thus, the header at the top of the page is always from the same section as the footer at the bottom of the page.
This feature isn't supported by Pages '09. If you want to do this you'll have to switch word processing programs or manually create your Master Table of Contents.
Each table of contents (TOC) you create using a Word Processing template lists only the content that follows it, up until the next table of contents. If you want a master table of contents for the entire document, it must be the only table of contents, and it must be at the beginning of the document.

I found it!
This "section" is no section, but rather the document-proper! The other elements are in fixed positions and that margin is set on the document.
Not entirely unexpected, I suppose.
