MacOS – How to display exact modified date/time in finder

I want to display the exact modified date/time in Finder. How can I do this?

As you may know, it's displaying things like like "yesterday" or "today" or just a date. I want to see the time component too as that can be important in some situations.

In Finder - View > Show View Options or Cmd ⌘ J

Uncheck "use relative dates"

If you don't mind using the terminal you could try this:

find . -type f -exec ls -lth {} +

This will list files from current directory and all directories below, sorted by modified date. A variant not listing modification date would be:

find . -type f -exec ls -t {} +

But I believe that it would be better to just list the files that have changed the last 1440 minutes

find . -mmin -1440

I see now that enlarging the preview area allows room for the timestamp to show.
