I am really fed up with the Mac OS Dock showing in Mission Control and especially Launchpad.
Is there any way at all (even if I have to program it myself) to hide it in Mission Control and Launchpad because it gets in the way.
I still want it to show on the desktop and when I have applications open.
Can the dock be hidden only for Mission Control and Launchpad in macOS ?
Seems like I'm not the first one to hit into this issue, and it is related to Dock process working incorrectly. The easiest way to fix this is to type
killall Dock
into the Terminal, which will effectively relaunch Dock process (and hopefully fix the problem).
If this doesn't work, reportedly trashing Dock preferences and attempting several restarts may help.
Simple answer: Not really.
You can, however, enable the "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" option in the Keyboard preference pane:
... and then use BetterTouchTool to map F4 to Expose.
By doing this, all functions of your current function keys won't work and you'll have to remap all of them using BTT as you like.

You could make it very small by pulling on the divider that is located to the right, usually just before the trash (a line) and it will turn in to double arrow when you click on it.
