MacOS – Eclipse ‘luna’ installing issues on MacOs Sierra 10.12

im getting issues while installing eclipse luna for MacOS Sierra 10.12

I have followed the procedure for the installing the eclipse.

1.Download the eclipse luna.
2.move the zipped folder to desktop.
3.extract the zipped file.
4.move eclipse icon from desktop to the applications folder.
5.when I double click the eclipse icon, it gives the following error.

below is the screenshots attached, can anybody help me with the solution.

Error – " Eclipse quit unexpectedly- Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple."

Same issue for me. The issue resolved when I copied the complete pack into the "Applications" folder and ran Eclipse in the path /Applications/eclipse/Eclipse.app/Contents/MacOS from Terminal.

MacOS – “X11 could not be opened” then “X11 canceled restart”

You can force X11 to quit, which will allow for a normal reboot but won't fix whatever problems are causing X11 to fail to launch / hang / otherwise misbehave.

Open terminal and type:

 killall X11

You might use sudo to kill any X1 processes that you don't own, but use care with root and killing processes.

It is possible that this could be a hardware problem? Specifically the logic board. I discovered mine needs replacing. I am having the same errors. I also discovered that launching the Unix Executable works for many of the apps that otherwise won't load. This makes no sense to me, but after hearing two Apple Support Technicians confirm, who am I to question.
