Will the new photos app still try to guess who everyone is in all my photos? I'm really hoping this is one feature that was deprecated!
FYI if anyone is wondering, I personally did not like this feature because it consumed at lot of CPU and kicked my fans up to 100% with no way to limit or control the process.
There's now a sort by name feature! In Photos version 1.2, you can go to the Faces view and then do View > Sort > Keep Sorted By Name. Ridiculously, this is apparently turned off by default if you upgraded from a previous version.
Anyway, this will make my use of Photos way way easier. (I have 1400+ faces.)
File > Export > Export Unmodified Original...
will export a full size image to the folder of your choice.

Yes, there is a Faces album which will show all recognised faces in your images.
