I have a Logitech G600 gaming mouse which I am hoping to use on my MacBook Pro running macOS Mojave. This mouse has a lot of buttons to which I am planning to assign shortcuts.
I have installed Logitech G Hub and when I plug in the mouse it sees it, but it says "NOT CONNECTED" and it doesn't allow me to configure it at all. The basic functions of the mouse work fine even without any software.
I've also tried using Logitech Gaming Software but this doesn't detect my mouse at all.
How can I configure my Logitech gaming mouse on my MacBook?
Here's an example of the problem showing in Logitech G Hub for a G502 mouse:

After a few frustrating hours I found the solution.
You need to install the Logitech Control Center as well. Once you've installed it, restart your machine and it should now show up as expected in Logitech G Hub.
