SelfControl is an open source software to block Internet connection for a time period. However, it blocks connection from ALL network interfaces.
I'm looking for someone that would like to add a function in order to allow the user to choose the network interface to block. The goal is to block only the WiFi connection and let the ethernet working.

i'm having the same problem, i use my laptop as internet server, all other computer is connected to the network and have internet access, when i use my tablet and after a while it losses the internet access even though it's still connected to the network (only skype keeps working, no browsing and no facebook).
to fix it you need to do the following:
right click on Computer >> Properties >> Device Manager >> network adapters >> right click on Ethernet Controller >> Properties >> Power Management >> uncheck the box "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
it should work fine now
I was also scratching my head just to share my one iPhone internet to tether via my iMac. It was so silly what solved the problem.
Uncheck the internet sharing checkbox in sharing system preferences.
After unchecking the internet fields were enabled.

Have you tried contacting Charlie Stigler or Steve Lambert, the creators of SelfControl? An offer to fund the feature would also likely help.
I expect you will get a better response from your enhancement request on the SelfControl issues page. More potential developers will see requests there and others will be able to back the issue to highlight its potential.
