2012 Macbook Pro 15" Non Retina
Randomly goes to sleep while I'm using it. Sometimes it resets altogether.
Its not a magnet, or Hot Corners
It takes 30-60 seconds to wake up.
The indicator light on the front lip stays solid for a long period and then fades on and off before I can wake it back up.

It is possible to determine what caused the system to wake
- Open Console (/Applications/Utilities/Console)
Set the search filter to 'wake'
You're looking for the latest entry that has something like this:
Wake reason = EC LID0(In the example above, opening the display clamshell caused the machine to be woken)

This should shed some light on what is waking the machine, then you can go from there.
This would be explained if your iMac was sometimes in what Apple calls Safe Sleep and others (and Apple internally) call hibernation mode and is expected and intended by Apple to save energy.
You should be able to disable this if needed by using pmset on the command line. Unless you are comfortable with the terminal, you might just leave things as Apple has configured since the hibernation should only engage for longer sleep periods to save more energy than if the machine was kept sleeping lightly the entire time.

First thing to do is examine your power manager logs:
When you find the timestamp(s) correlating to the unexpected sleep, please update your question with the full text of the relevant time range from
pmset -g log.
