I have MBP 2017 (MPXT2) bought about 3 months ago.
I noticed that when it heats enough, only right fan starts blowing away hot air.
On the other hand the left side is not that hot and it is probably ok that I have never seen left fan working.
I wonder is it expected behaviour for new MPB 2017 or the left fan is probably broken?
I do not even know what can heat the left side because the GPU is built-in.
Update: Used Macs Fan control as suggested. It shows only one fan.
Fan speeds are related to the temperature of your laptop. If you're just interested in monitoring the temps, iStat Menus ($16) has an excellent temperature monitor that sits in your menu bar and can track any of the dozen temperature sensors built into your MBP.
There are a few apps which purport to allow you to control your Apple laptop fan speeds.

I've found that the best solution to keeping my computer cool and the fans off, even when really tasking the processor, is to put it on a little stand to allow plenty of airflow underneath. The one I swear by is a Podium Pad from 2004 which was discontinued long ago -- but there are many alternatives. If you keep your laptop on your lap, almost any simple lap desk can help a lot, keeping the computer on a firm surface to let the fans do their work without smothering them with fabric/skin. There are also active cooling pads with fans in them, some of which are very well-reviewed.
Finally, I'm not sure what you're recording, but you could try using a directional USB microphone to eliminate extraneous noise from your recording environment. There are many excellent options on Amazon for under $100 (be sure it is Mac-compatible before purchasing).
I suspect that this is the topcase module malfunctioning.
However, a good troubleshooting step would be to connect a USB keyboard & mouse and see if the issue continues with those external devices once the problem manifests.
This will allow you to ascertain if the topcase is at fault and/or if the issue is software based (although it seems to be hardware as you're seeing similar/related issues in OSX and Windows).
Past that I would take the machine to an Apple store or AASP where they can test the machine with a known good topcase/keyboard module to fully confirm that the topcase needs replacing (or anything else if the problem is deeper (read:logic board)). If that's what needs replacing then it's a relatively cheap repair.

Found some photos of disassembled MBP 2016 (13") on the internet. Looks like there is only one fan so I should not worry.
