AutoUpdate loaded the Office Service Pack 14.5.7. When I open MS Word, my macros are no longer there. I tried restoring my Normal.dotm file from
~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office/User Templates/
Just realized that custom AutoCorrect entries still exist. I had assumed that they would be missing too.
Still no macros are showing up. Is this a bug or am I missing something?
Office 2011 for Mac is very much like Office 2010 on Windows. You'll see the same equation button in the Ribbon, and more buttons while you're editing an equation. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Plus, you can always download a trial version of Office 2011 to make sure your files will be compatible!
I realize this is a very old question, but here goes. The option to change to linear allows for copying as plain text. This option can be found in the Equation ribbon. Also, the Equation box dropdown has the change option as well.
