I have a Belkin Router and accidentally changed the MAC Address for the Wireless Area Network. Is there a way to retrieve previous inputted MAC Address using Terminal?
I'm looking around system and network logs but I can't find previous records of MAC Address for my WiFi network.
You can use netspot to basically create a 'map' of your location, and see network information around you. It will show you areas that network connectivity may suffer. You can then revisit the data points to possibly determine better locations for your router, or where the worst offending networks are to better decide which channels to use.
Ah, it seems that the problem is that while "Internet Sharing" is ON, OSX does not instantiate the child connection (in your case, the WiFi network) until you actually get an internet connection on the parent connection.
You can potentially fool it with a loopback adapter on your ethernet connection (and perhaps static addressing and setting the router as itself), but I have not tried it.

The information should be printed on a label located on your router. Find the one that corresponds to your wireless networking
