I purchased Pixelmator 2 from the Mac App store. The app appeared in Launchpad, but not in my applications folder. The problem is that I don't use Launchpad.
I can't find where Pixelmator is actually installed on my hard disk, and I want to move it into my applications folder.
How do I move it from Launchpad to the Applications folder?
I had the same issue initially. After upgrading to the latest version of Parallels (which also solved the virtualization issue), all Windows applications were moved to ~/Applications (Parallels) at the first start of Parallels and the icons now don't show up in Launchpad any longer.
To add an application to Launchpad, you can simply drag it to Launchpad in the Dock.
But be careful — currently there's no way to remove something from Launchpad that you've added.
(And if you have items in a folder in Launchpad, you can easily drag them out and organize them as you wish.)
