I remember in earlier versions of iTunes it was possible to increase the size of album artwork in the Album View via a slider – so, for example, I could have fewer albums with large cover art per row or more albums per row, but with tiny cover art.
However, I can't find this function anymore in iTunes 12. Does anyone know how to do this? 🙂

if you have this problem in our own iTunes Library, it is easy to assign a new cover to the song or album by just dragging the cover to it or using the GetInfo option, you know how to do this right?
if you install Last.fm app you can simple play a song and then drag the last.fm cover into the artwork of the iTunes song.
Yes, you can do this a few different ways depending on whether you want to preserve the current artwork or are OK overwriting it.
Way 1 — Simple if you are OK overwriting the current artwork.
Way 2 — If you want to preserve the current artwork.
iTunes allows songs to have multiple artwork files associated with them. It displays the first artwork file as the album art for a particular song. Here's the slightly more painful way you could add your artwork to these songs.

I have the same question but no solution.
Someone somewhere advised an app: Swinian. It has the slider for changing the artwork. Very nice app. one month free trial.
Other (obvious)workaround is changing the screen resolution. I use an app Switchres.Easy and fast but ofcourse it changes the resolution everywhere and not just iTunes album view.
It works but not ideal or perfect.
