IPhone – Notification to ring like the phone

iphonenotifications

I have been trying to get one of my apps to notify me the same way the IMessage or phone does but I have not had much success in figuring out how to do this. I want it to persistently vibrate or ring the same way the phone would. This normally wouldn't be a problem but for a job I had just gotten they use an app for scheduling and its notifications are of particular importance. The iphone's standard notifications for anything other then the main services only seem to vibrate or beep for like a second before going silent and I want this to last at least 5-10 seconds longer. Sadly, as far as I can tell, its not possible with the default settings and I need 3rd party software to do this, but I have not had much luck in finding anything that would do this.

Any help is appreciated.

Assuming you have an iPhone(*), you can create custom vibrations, and name each that identifies the unique customized levels, patterns, or other features that make it as unique as any custom vibrations you create. The iPads my husband and I have do not have this useful functionality, but newer versions may have custom vibration functionality.

To create a custom vibration, go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics and select any assigned ring tone, opening a new page, with additional info and options, the first option defines the current assigned and labeled vibration. If you tap on the name currently set, a new window opens, revealing all pre-set vibrations you can choose from if replacing the current one set for a different pre-designed vibration. And next on this settings page is the functionality to “Create Custom Vibration.” Press the “>” on this option to access additional vibration settings.

A new window opens, the design somewhat like a workspace with enough room to create lengthy and complex patterns via the speed, tapping variations, generating an audible preview of this custom vibration. Save your custom vibration, giving it a name that most aptly represents the nature of it’s intended design.

This is how you create custom vibrations on iPhones manufactured after the 6S+. What I don’t know is whether your custom vibrations are included in the app for which a custom vibration would be very useful. If my reply here ends up working beautifully for you, OR if get stuck at the part where it should be updating the selected custom vibration, it is very likely due to my lack of knowledge of the settings, and become an expert on the use, functionalities and configuration settings, and come back to share and educate your followers on this topic.

Good luck!
