I have an iPhone 5 and now my husband has my old iPhone 4S. For some reason everytime I have a message on Facebook, he's also getting them on his phone under the "Facebook Messenger". How can I fix this, so he doesn't get them?

Turns out I was wrong; you can configure this on iPhone.
As the guide on this page taught me:
- Open Settings
- Scroll down to the application list and select Facebook
- Choose Push Notifications
Now, in my case it was probably Nearby Friends that I mostly wanted to disable. I ended up turning off some others too:
There is an easier option. Go to the contact that has been merged. Click edit. Click the minus icon next to the Facebook card at the bottom of the contact. The two cards will spring apart and you will have two contacts. Hit save.

It sounds like your account is still linked to your old phone.
Make sure you are signed out of Facebook on that phone. If this doesn't work, try deleting and reinstalling the app. (This should clear any settings associated with the app.)
