IPad – How to delete one history entry in Safari on iOS

The iPad seems to limit its history to a week, which is presumably an acknowledgement of the limited RAM and storage in comparison to a traditional computer.

Adding bookmarks for desired/frequent sites is the only way to make sure they come up easily. There is no practical limit to the number of bookmarks, and you could easily shove all of those bookmarks in a folder you never visit directly.

You can't list entire search results from your history on iOS. The most you can do is as you have done by searching in Spotlight search and using the ~5 search results.

If your Safari history is synchronised with iCloud, you can search the entire history in Safari on OS X. Open Safari and press ⌥⌘2, then use the search box in the bottom-right corner.
