How do you stop a favorite recorded "gesture" once you are done using it? I am working with patients who have severe fine motor skills deficits. They must use a stylus to work on an iPad or iPhone.
The recorded gesture function in the accessibility settings would be helpful if we could get it to stop, or go away, once we have finished using it. Does anyone know how to do this?
I found a limited solution:
Install free BetterTouchTool from http://blog.boastr.net
Go to Gestures/Normal Mice, click Add New Button, set Left Click, check ctrl and option modifiers.
At right, choose Predefined Action called Mouse Click Actions / More Mouse Buttons & Modifiers, and simply choose Left Mouse Button (see attached image). Save, close the BTT window, and try left-clicking. Unfortunately clicking is the only thing you can do, for example you can't click+drag (at least it didn't work for me).
Take the screenshot normally, then open the image in Preview.
Press ⌥⌘C to adjust the colour of the image.
Drag the saturation slider down to the minimum.
Swap the colour positions in the histogram.

Just press the AssistiveTouch button to show the panel, then close it again by tapping outside.
