Before iOS 11, the default quotation marks were the ASCII ' and ", but now they are changed to ‘’ and “” (curly quotation marks). I have to long press the quotation mark key on the soft keyboard to type the normal ones and have no way to type them on a Smart Cover.
I’m a programmer and I have to use ' and ", is there any way to change them back?
I suspect this problem is linked to my language and region settings, I’m in China and my iPad language is English by the way.
For the future reference of anyone reaching this page VIA Google, I found an answer to the problem here. Basically, at the upper-right corner of the screen there's an "edit" button that allows you to change the order of or remove languages, but this Edit button looks like it has nothing at all to do with this "preferred languages" setting which is the second in the list on this page.

You should use Xcode's localisation functionality to provide languages for your app.
The list of languages displayed in the store under Languages is set in the app build.

If you don't use Xcode's localisation, you'll have to set the languages manually by adding them to the CFBundleLocalizations array in your Info.plist.
CFBundleLocalizations (Array - iOS, macOS) identifies the localizations handled manually by your app. If your executable is unbundled or does not use the existing bundle localization mechanism, you can include this key to specify the localizations your app does handle.
