I am trying to create a chart using some data. The odd rows represent the date and time and even rows represent the count. I want to make the odd(date-time) rows as x-axis and even(count) rows as y-axis. Is there any way to do this? I an giving the image of my structure below.
Please help me to get a solution for this.
Just called AppleCare. The guy took some time to make a chart and afterwards explained that I could click the line to change the color (just as I did before). While we were talking I clicked a dot in the graph, representing a data point. It turned out that you could change the color of the dots the same way. This color was applied to the legend, so the problem was solved.
Took me a while, but I figured it out: The solution is to choose a scatter plot instead of a line chart.
Select Insert -> Chart -> 2D Scatter
Select the chart, then select Add Chart Data:
Now simply select your entire table, including the x axis. Numbers will figure out the rest and automatically select your leftmost column as the x-axis.
Finally, to make it look like a line chart, select the chart, then select the "Axis" tab in the inspector Chose Data Symbols: None and Connection Lines: Straight.

I am afraid there is no way you can chart all that data in Numbers as they are.
First make a copy of that table and then transpose the copy via the Table > Transpose Rows and Columns menu at the top. Then cut & paste all date and amount columns below each other respectively. There does not appear to be any other way.
