The syntax of a simple Excel if statement is:
=IF(a1="a",b2,"")
This places the contents of cell b2 in the current cell if cell a1 contains the character "a". Otherwise the current cell is cleared.
How is this statement, for example, entered in Numbers?
In numbers, SUMPRODUCT (range, range…) takes the following arguments:
range: A range of cells. range is a reference to a single range of cells containing values of any type. If string or Boolean values are included in range, they are ignored.
range…: Optionally include one or more additional ranges of cells. The ranges must all have the same dimensions.
So you'll need to set up a range to perform the initial calculation (and squaring) and then sumproduct two simple ranges.
This is currently not possible within cells.
As a workaround, you can change the angle of the text labels for the X axis on a chart and use this as the header for your table.
Alternatively, you can create text boxes and rotate these.
