my iMovie corrupted and the event went missing. i have found it in project files, but how to i get the project files back into an event?
i need the edit versions back into an event to continue editing them in iMovie

Answer for point 4:
Make sure that it shows nothing over here: 
under today's date or the title that you have given it. If there is indeed nothing, then try File > Update Projects and Events. If it still doesn't show up, then your only hope is that you have a time machine and that you backed it up.
Just asking, what version of iMovie are you using?

Once you find the specific folder/file location of the project files, use the Import tool to add those files to a new event.
